January can seem like a long and grey month so I’m getting a little taste of Spring early.
The Yule candle container now holds a pot of three white hyacinths. I have covered the pot in ivy to make it look prettier. In a couple of weeks the smell will be beautiful – so beautiful it may have to go outside!
The brown glass container was recycled from Christmas a couple of years ago when it was a candle with seven wicks. The ivy grows in abundance in my garden and the hyacinths only cost £1.99 from Lidl. They have white, pink and purple varieties in stock.
